A note from the Contest Director:

January 2009

Greetings Love-Air:

The plans for this summer's IMAC event are underway, with AeroWorks coming on board as primary sponsor. The new event on July 18-19 will be called the Love-Air IMAC Championship.

There are many more plans to make to get this competition going, and many of you will no doubt be volunteering your time in support, as last year. Your assistance is greatly appreciated!

For now, will those of you who intend to participate as pilots, please go on line to the IMAC website (www.mini-iac.com) and pre-register. As this roster fills up, other pilots and sponsors start to raise their interest level.

To register, just click on the Regions-USA tab, follow the dropdown to Southwest, then click on the "SW News & Events" line to find the SW Contest Calendar. Click on the Love-Air IMAC Championship for event details. To register, Login into the site and click on the Register icon. IMAC membership is recommended, but not required for registration or participation.

I encourage you also to register at the same time for the new Longmont IMAC, May 9-10, that appears on the same page. Your pre-registration cost nothing and does not commit you to attending.

The season has already started, so get out and practice those patterns. If you need pointers, Bert Sutton and I are always up for some coaching. Just catch us at the field or call to set a time to meet. For me, IMAC is the most fun and direct way to improve piloting skills. Come join us!
